A company that started in the District
We were founded in Washington in 2018, before the headquarters moved to Sterling. Several of our leaders came up through D.C. policing, including Deputy Chief Antoine Cook, a former Metropolitan Police Department officer.
That background shows in how we work the city: we know which blocks shift after dark, how alleys connect, and what a property manager in Dupont expects from a lobby officer.
Security guard services we provide in Washington, D.C.
Our D.C. rollout focuses on the wedge of Northwest between Connecticut Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, running out to Rock Creek Park. These are neighborhoods of large rowhouses, detached homes, and pre-war apartment buildings.
If a building already has a front desk team, our officers can work alongside them on evening and overnight shifts rather than replacing anyone.
Georgetown
Historic rowhouses, M Street retail, and narrow streets with heavy foot traffic.
Kalorama
Large homes and residences near diplomatic properties where discretion matters.
Cleveland Park and Woodley Park
Pre-war apartment buildings along Connecticut Avenue with lobby and package needs.
Chevy Chase D.C.
Detached homes where overnight patrol and travel coverage are common asks.
Special police in D.C.
D.C. allows commissioned special police officers to work on the property they are hired to protect, with arrest authority on that property. For apartment buildings, retail, and offices dealing with repeat trespass or theft, this is often the right tool.
Our CEO, Jeremiah Dineen, is a commissioned special police officer and an Army military police veteran. We will explain the difference between a security officer and a special police officer during the site walk so you can choose.
Private homes and high-net-worth residences
Residential clients in Northwest usually want two things: someone watching the property when they travel, and a quiet professional presence during events at the house. We cover both with overnight patrol, fixed posts, and executive protection.
Officers can work in a suit and tie for events where a uniform would feel out of place.
- Travel coverage while owners are away
- Dinner and fundraiser hosting at the home
- Overnight patrol with GPS-verified checks
- Executive protection for principals
Apartment buildings and commercial corridors
Connecticut Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue, and M Street carry most of our commercial and multifamily work in the District. Pre-war co-ops, newer rental buildings, and street-level shops share the same blocks, and each wants something a little different.
Co-op boards tend to ask for an attentive lobby officer and a clean daily log. Shop owners want someone visible at opening and closing. Office tenants want controlled entry and an officer who can handle an alarm call without drama. We price and staff each one separately, even when the buildings sit next door to each other.
District permits and licensing rules differ from Virginia and Maryland, so officers assigned to D.C. posts hold SOLB credentials before their first shift.
Starting service in the District
We walk the property, ask what has happened there, and send a written proposal. Every officer is licensed and verified before being scheduled. Requests receive a reply within one business day; emergencies go to 911 first.
