Short answer

GRDX provides security guard services in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, including armed and unarmed officers, vehicle patrol and event security. Montgomery County is a primary service area, and Prince George's is covered case by case. GRDX is licensed by the Maryland State Police.

Montgomery County coverage

Montgomery is one of our primary rollout zones. The work concentrates in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Silver Spring, Rockville, and North Bethesda around Pike & Rose and White Flint.

These areas mix tall apartment buildings near Red Line stations with detached homes on quiet streets, so we are usually staffing either a lobby or a patrol route.

Security guard services we provide in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties

Prince George's appears in our listed service area, and we take requests there case by case. Commercial strips, apartment communities, and event venues near the D.C. border are the most likely fits.

Tell us the address and what you need. We will say plainly whether we can staff it well before you spend time on a site walk.

Beyond these two counties, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and parts of Baltimore County are secondary areas for us. We review requests there individually and quote only when we can staff them properly.

Apartment and condo buildings near the Red Line

Buildings in downtown Bethesda and downtown Silver Spring face the same issues as their D.C. neighbors: package theft, tailgating at doors, and garages used as shortcuts. A front desk officer plus scheduled rounds handles most of it.

Lobby officer

Controls entry and handles deliveries and visitors.

Garage checks

Rounds for break-ins and people sleeping in stairwells.

Daily reports

Written logs for management after every shift.

Homes and estates in Potomac, Bethesda, and Chevy Chase

Larger homes in Potomac, Bethesda, and Chevy Chase often need overnight patrol, coverage during owner travel, or a discreet officer during a party or fundraiser.

Where a principal travels regularly or has a public profile, executive protection can be added to the plan.

  • Overnight GPS-verified patrol
  • Fixed posts during travel
  • Private event coverage
  • Executive protection

Retail and town centers in Maryland

Town centers such as Bethesda Row, downtown Silver Spring, Rockville Town Square, and Pike & Rose combine shops, restaurants, and apartments over one garage. Those mixed sites need officers who can move between a retail plaza and a residential lobby in one shift.

Owners usually ask for visible presence during evening and weekend peaks, plus overnight checks once the restaurants close. We write the schedule around when the crowds actually come, using what the property manager tells us during the site walk.

Communities, schools, clinics, and houses of worship

Maryland HOAs in Olney, Germantown, Gaithersburg, and similar areas ask for the same thing their Virginia neighbors do: dependable patrol with proof it happened. Every stop is GPS-verified and reported to the board.

Pool season and holiday weeks usually need more passes, and the proposal will show both a standard and a peak schedule.

Montgomery also has a large share of medical offices, private schools, and houses of worship along Old Georgetown Road, Wisconsin Avenue, and Georgia Avenue. Those sites often need coverage only at set times, such as morning drop-off, weekend services, or evening clinic hours, and we can staff short shifts that match those windows rather than forcing a full-day post.

Parents and congregations tend to notice a calm, familiar officer more than a new face every week, so we try to keep the same people on those posts.
